At Thame Cars we provide two types of servicing; Interim & Full. Your service will include a complimentary health check to ensure your vehicle is running as well as it should be. On top of that, we’ll provide a free alignment check, before throwing in a complimentary car-wash and hoover. Loan cars are available at your convenience. What’s more, we offer free collection and delivery within ten miles of our showroom, so if your car’s in the workshop you’ll be able to carry on with your day uninterrupted.
An MOT test is a compulsory annual examination of a vehicle that is over 3 years old. Here at Thame Cars we believe passionately in all forms of road safety, so you can also rest assured that once you leave here with your MOT certificate, your car is completely roadworthy and safe to drive. We always remind our customers the exact day their MOT is due, so they can make the necessary arrangements in advance and at a time that is convenient to them. Our MOT service includes a free vehicle health check, and a complimentary full wash and hoover.
A Vehicle Health Check is a fast and visual, 51-point maintenance check during which we make sure your engine, gearbox and other such fundamentals are operating as well as they should be. We do this by following a simple, traffic light system:
Red means there are urgent safety issues that need dealing with immediately.
Amber would be an indication that, while there are some issues that require attention in the not-too-distant-future, no urgent repairs are needed right away. (For instance, your brake pads might need replacing soon, even if, for the time being, they’re at an acceptable standard.)
Green means your vehicle is in perfect working order and requires no work whatsoever.
A Vehicle Health Check is going to save you money in the long run. Simply put, fixing those minor issues now is preventative medicine, significantly extending the lifespan of your vehicle. The trick is to catch these issues in the present, before they become more costly in the future.
A yearly service is essential for any car, but a year is also long enough for a more serious problem to arise. For this reason, we recommend a Vehicle Health Check every six months or so, just to be sure.
