My car needs an MOT but I am self-isolating

Over the last 7 days it’s been a brand new most common question: ‘What do I do about getting my car MOT’d if I’m self-isolating?’

This is an unprecedented situation but we’re trying to respond to it as best we can and continue to provide our services to the community.

As you can imagine, this global crisis has hit all local businesses, and ours is no exception.

As well as putting in place in-house policies to ramp up hand washing, sanitising all the vehicles we work on and limit physical contact, we have adapted the range of services we offer to help to all our customers, the backbone of our business.

Despite the challenging times, driving a car without an up to date MOT is still against the law and can invalidate insurance.

We understand that there is plenty to worry about without adding this to the list. We have brought in new drivers to meet increasing demands of our collection and delivery service.

So if your car has its MOT or service due and you can’t physically bring it to us, give us a call and we’ll come and collect it.

We’ll bring it back to Thame Cars, carry out your MOT or service, and return it to you fully sanitised.

We have also had a number of inquiries from customers who had been looking to purchase a car from us but can now no longer visit.

We can also deliver any of our sanitised showroom condition cars to your home for you to take a closer look and test drive.

If you would like to purchase a car, by placing a small deposit on our simple and easy to use online buying tool on our website, we can deliver the car to your home with all your paperwork to complete your purchase.

Thame Cars have always prided ourselves on the high detail of our car preparation. We would consider ourselves experts in car sanitation, but we’ve really taken this to another level!

Things will continue to evolve over the coming weeks I’m sure, and we want to make sure that we can continue to support you in any way we can.

If you have any motoring needs or questions, please don’t hesitate to drop us a line directly on 01844 390560.

Stay safe and well.
