Our approach here at Thame Cars is to make things Safe, Simple and Easy and we strive to apply this to everything we do for our customers.
From buying a car to booking an MOT, we are constantly looking for ways to make our processes even safer, simpler or easier.
But over the last few months we’ve noticed that we could probably be applying the same approach a bit more to some of the ‘behind the scenes’ elements of Thame Cars, in particular with our Internet connection.
Back in the day when a slow connection was par for the course, it was just one of those things you put up with. In fact the mind blowing miracle of the Internet itself more than made up for having to wait for your dial up modem to get up to speed before you could send an email.
But today we expect instant connection, and when this doesn’t happen it can be incredibly frustrating!
Although we’re not quite at dial up modem speeds, our broadband connection has been severely lagging behind requirements for quite some time now.
Not enough to prevent us from providing our customers with an exceptional service, but enough to cause those little background niggles that over time can erode one’s sense of humour.
As Muhammed Ali said, “it isn't the mountains ahead to climb that wear you out; it's the pebble in your shoe” and in our case one of the pebbles has been our Internet which we are finally getting upgraded!
The funny thing is, we hear similar stories from our customers all the time.
Not necessarily about their broadband (though I’m sure many of you would resonate with our situation!), but with their cars.
Those niggling noises or dings in the door that don’t quite feel enough of a problem to get sorted, but send you a small jolt of irritation each time you get set off on a journey.
Or the growing squeeze as capacity is met and then exceeded by a growing family… you know you’re going to need a bigger car at some point but it’s one of those things that you’ll get round to eventually!
For us, getting our broadband fibre upgraded is going to make a huge difference to how simple and easy it is to get our work done.
There are mountains up ahead to climb for all of us, and the more pebbles we can shake from our shoes along the way, the easier (and more enjoyable!) it’s going to be to climb them.
